March is nationally known as women's history month where we celebrate their successes achieved through years of hard work and struggle. Every year there is a theme chosen for women's history month, this year's being: "Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future". Organizing this month with a theme helps us appreciate what we're celebrating. This year's theme is meant to direct honor to the women building and imagining a reliable future.
The NWHA's goals and objectives for this month are as follows:
Honor: Celebrate the diverse contributions of women who are leading sustainability efforts
across environmental, economic, educational, and social justice movements.
Educate: Raise awareness about the important historical and contemporary roles of women in
shaping sustainable change.
Inspire: Empower individuals and institutions on how to take action toward sustainability,
equity, and justice in their own spheres of influence.
Connect: Build bridges across generations, geographies, and disciplines to foster collaboration,
mentorship, and shared learning.
Envision: Encourage a long-term vision for our future where women’s leadership is central to
thriving communities and a healthy planet.
The Nation Women's History Alliance continues with ways to celebrate, like spotlighting local leaders, sharing stories and taking action.
ZENlightenment Wellness Center is currently a %100 women owned and operated small business, making this month effortless to celebrate and participate in. Our very own business owner wears many hats being a group fitness instructor, mental health therapist as well as working as the Chamber of commerce president. She has worked very hard for her accomplishments and it shows. An article on our social media features Shana's journey highlighting some of her most notable achievements. This month take action to help involve and educate others around you
